A free-play way to run sports squares with your group. The host sets up a board, everyone claims squares with a code or link, and the board follows the score live, highlighting the winning square. No money changes hands on SquareGames — no entry fees, stakes or prizes.

To host a board or claim squares, yes — it is free, and you can sign up with email, Google, Apple or Facebook. At a bar or restaurant using SquareGames, you can scan the QR code on the TV and play without one.

Yes. Every plan joins as many games as you like, and the Free plan hosts one board a week. Premium and Pro host more boards and remove ads, and a one-time Game Pass or Season Pass covers the big games.

Any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with the same account everywhere. Apps and downloads lists the SquareGames apps you can install.

From your dashboard, choose Create Game. Pick the sport and format — quarters, halves, innings or periods — choose which periods decide a winner, set a claiming limit if you want one, and publish.

Share the board's 9-digit code or its link. People can enter the code at Join a game, and a public board also shows up in Explore. You can invite people you follow straight from the board.

Yes. Make it private when you create it and only people with the code or link can find and join it.

When claiming closes, SquareGames draws the digits 0–9 for each side at random. You don't choose them, and they can't be changed once the game starts.

You decide when you create the board: you take them, they are dealt out evenly to the players, or they stay empty. If the winning square is empty, there is no winner for that period.

Open the board's scoring screen during the game and record each score as it happens; every player's board updates instantly. You can undo a play or correct the score with a reason, and every change is kept in the score log. On Premium, Pro or a Game Pass, a co-host can score too.

One a week on Free, three on Premium and unlimited on Pro. Your week resets every Tuesday at midnight in your time zone, and a board covered by a pass or a venue plan doesn't count.

Open the link the host sent, enter the 9-digit code at Join a game, or find a public board in Explore. Then claim the squares you want.

As many as the host allows. Some hosts approve claims before they count; until then your square shows as pending.

At the end of each period that decides a winner, the winning square is where the last digit of each team's score meets — 17–14 wins the square at 7 and 4. Points in overtime count toward the final period.

Yes — about the boards you're on, such as when a game starts and when a period is decided. Choose what you get in Settings → Notifications.

Go to Settings → Account and set a new password there. If you signed up with Google, Apple or Facebook, you can add a password from the same place. Forgotten it? Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in page.

Yes. Settings → Account → Your data downloads a copy of your games, squares, teams and profile.

Settings → Account → Danger zone → Delete account, then type your email to confirm. It happens straight away and can't be undone. A plan bought on our website is cancelled for you; one bought in the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled in that store.

Other players see your username and avatar on the boards you join. Settings → Privacy controls who can see the rest of your profile and your stats.

Use Report on the person's profile, or on a board, a team or a chat message. For anything else, contact us and choose "Report a user or board".

Settings → Subscription. If you subscribed in the App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's subscription settings instead. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.

Often, yes — for example a renewal you didn't mean to keep, or a pass bought by mistake. The refund policy has the details; store purchases are refunded by Apple or Google.

It covers one board you host: no ads for anyone on it, a co-host who can score, the full game report, and it doesn't use your weekly allowance. A Season Pass does the same for every board you host in one sport's season.

No. SquareGames is free-play: no entry fees, no stakes and no prizes, on any plan. You pay for hosting tools and no ads — never for an advantage in a game.

For anyone hosting a crowd — bars and restaurants, offices, clubs and watch parties at home: your board on your screens, guests joining by QR code, your branding, templates for regular nights and promotions for your own events. $79 a month once your venue is approved.

Yes. A private venue is invite only: it is never listed in "boards near me" and its address is never shown. Guests join with the QR code on your screen, the board code or an invite link. Choose it when you apply, or switch in your venue console.

No. They scan the QR code on your screen and play in the browser. An account is optional and lets them keep their squares and history.

Open the display page in your TV's browser, then choose Pair a screen in your venue console and enter the code it gives you. Any TV or monitor with a browser works.
