The house rules
A game tracker, never a money game
SquareGames runs the board. It never handles money or prizes.
- No stakes, entry fees, pools or prizes on SquareGames — boards, promotions and screens stay free of them.
- Promotions describe your own venue's events: trivia night, happy hour, the next big game.
- Guests appear as a first name and last initial on screen, never a full name.

Can I keep it private — for a party at home or an office event?
Yes. Choose Private when you apply, or later in your venue console: the venue is never listed and its address is never shown. Guests join with the QR code on your screen, the board code or an invite link.
Do my guests need the app or an account?
No. They scan the QR code on your screen and play in the browser. An account is optional — it lets them keep their squares and history.
What do I need to run it?
Any TV or monitor with a web browser — a smart TV, a streaming stick or a laptop on HDMI. You pair it once with a code.
Can we give out prizes?
SquareGames doesn't store, run or promote prizes, stakes or pools. What you do in your own venue is your business, under your local laws; the platform stays out of it.
What happens in the off-season?
Cancel from your venue console and you won't be billed again. Your venue, templates and settings are still there when you restart.
Why is there a review?
Every venue is checked before its boards go live, to keep SquareGames free of stakes and prizes. You'll get a notification as soon as it's done, and you're not charged until then.
